Education Session– EMS Trauma Training Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00am at the MCHS Owatonna, 2200 26th St NW, Owatonna Conference Room A will be offered in person and on Zoom
One of the biggest challenges that rural EMS agencies encounter is knowing how to consistently and effectively utilize trauma guidelines developed by RTACs. This presentation will cover a brief history of EMS trauma guidelines, how often they are (and aren’t) used, and the upcoming push in the South Central EMS Region to make all levels of rural providers confident and competent in their use of prehospital trauma care, allowing for a seamless transition of trauma guidelines into their response.
This presentation will include a lecture (approx.. 45 minutes), and a hands-on portion (approx. 45min) utilizing Virtual Reality Simulations involving various trauma emergencies. Lunch will be provided RSVP to admin@smrtac.org
